First of this illustrated edition. The lines of the poem are printed once in type and once in Ondaatje's handwriting facsimile below. This edition was conceived as a fundraising project for World Literacy of Canada. The poem was originally published in 1998 in "Handwriting. Poems" by M. O. (see our inventory No. 10268, first edition). Binding is black cloth over board with silver titles, a miniature illustration pasted on the front cover, set into a blind embossed frame.
